Query Magic
Thank you for your interest in Scribe and Quill Magazine's course on query writing for magazines. Over four weeks, my goal is to help you write better and more successful queries. The end result will be to help you get more of your articles published!
Each week I'll cover a particular element of query writing. By focusing on the mechanics of a query letter and honing in on what makes one effective, you'll be able to use that knowledge to increase your percentage of publication sales!
Each week we'll discuss:
Week One: What's in a Query?
Week Two: Types of Queries
Week Three: Writing the Magazine Query Letter
Week Four: Writing E-Queries
In addition to your weekly course presentation of a subject, you'll also receive supplemental material or handouts as well as your weekly assignment. Upon completion of your weekly assignment, you'll send your work back to me and I'll critique and comment on it. In addition, should you have other questions or discussions you'd like to entertain, don't be afraid to mention them!
